Bishop Receives Honorary Doctorate of Divinity

Chief Chaplain Bruce Francis attended the Pastor and Wife Appreciation Banquet honoring Bishop and Sister Louis Taplin of New Covenant Worship Center, Oklahoma City on Sunday, November 7, 2004.

During the special presentations, Chief Chaplain Francis presented Bishop Taplin with an honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree from Chaplain Bible Institute. At the age of 77, Bishop Taplin has been a Pastor for 45 years and was very emotional during the presentation. He received a standing ovation from the members of the congregation, saying that, “God has truly blessed him through Chaplain Bible Institute”.

Special thanks to Chief Chaplain Gibson and Chief Chaplain Farmer for helping with this great honor. Chaplain Bible Institute is the education division of Chaplain Fellowship Ministries International.
