I am a strong believer we should reach out to our youth in a ministry of presence before the streets reaches out to them. Those who have youth ministries are keeping our youth off the streets and out of prison by teaching them proper values in life. Our young adults are our future, it is up to us to guide them in the right direction whenever we have the opportunity to do so. My first ministry was a youth ministry, we had up to 15 boys at one time, and I will never forget the times I spent with my boys. They are all grown men now with families and doing very well, I am very proud of everyone of them. CH Gibson

Chappy and his boys twenty seven years ago: Twenty seven years makes a big difference! The picture below with my boys was taken 27 years ago and they were the best years of my life. I would not take anything for the time we spent together training and just spending time with each other.

There were up to 15 at one time, but the six below were very special, they stuck with it because they had heart. They raced against kids who had $1000.00 racing bikes and racing leathers, and they came out winners time and time again. Most of our bikes came from junk that we built ourselves and painted. Most of our helmets came from pawn shops and our shirts were home made.

My Boys had more heart than the whole State of Texas. Against all odds and with a lot of hard work they came out winners, time and time again. They are all grown now and have their own families and they are still the best in my eyes. There is a great need for youth ministries! You just may save a child from becoming a career convict or being lost forever by dying in the streets. Start your own youth program in your community. You Can Make a difference!
